Our time is limited in this life and the respect given to that time will create greater fulfillment. The truth is we don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow because life is a crazy ride and nothing is guaranteed. Here are the important steps to smart live your life by tackling all obstructions.

smart living1. Money will never solve your real problems

Money is just a tool that buys your necessities and wants but it is not the panacea to your problems. There are a great many people who are living on very little, yet living happy lives and vice-versa. Money can buy a nice home great car, even a bit of security but it cannot fix a broken relationship or cure loneliness.

2. Life is not always fair

Life really has never been a fair game and will never be. Good things do happen to bad people and also bad things do happen to good people. You may wonder why you have to be the victim many times but that does not really matter. You have to be responsible for your own actions and never let other people influence the goodness in your heart.

3. Your health is your most valuable asset

Health is an invaluable treasure, always appreciate, nurture and protect it. We tend to take our good health for granted, because it is just there. Heart disease, bone density like such preventable diseases list is lengthy, so take care of your health now or you will regret it later on.

4. Be a self-educator

It is important to know that there are a lot of skills you would acquire outside school that would be beneficial for your long term success. The truth is that self-education would make you the fortune you desire and not the college degree.

Act, Don’t React When things are hot, use ‘cool as a cucumber’ strategy under pressure

Expect Crisis

One thing you can always count on at work—another crisis is just around the bend. It’s easier to be calm, clear and focused in crisis when you learn to expect them as a natural part of working. Once you accept crises as business-as-usual, you can have a plan in hand to help you handle the stress-filled times calmly.

Practice the Pause

Train yourself to pause when you start to feel overwhelmed. Take a couple of deep breaths and relax. You have two nervous systems: you can kick into gear-one for stressing and one for relaxing. The good news is you can’t be stressed and relaxed at the same time. Those conscious deep breaths serve to switch you onto the relaxed track.

Act, Don’t React

There is a moment between when something happens (crisis) and when you respond. It is in that moment you have the choice to act consciously or react unconsciously. When you pause to catch your breath, you allow yourself to choose a calm, conscious course of action. Always give yourself time to think calmly and set priorities under pressure.

Last but not the least, you should learn to enjoy every minute of your life, that is you should live your life. Be happy now. Don’t wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it’s at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savoured. You should realize how important it is to use the time you have, and it is up to you to make it sweet.
