If it’s true, construction workers will be the wealthiest people in the world. There are so many people who work hard day and night to make their living. So, the real truth is hard work is not only the success formula.
It’s scientifically verified consciousness is the most important factor correlated with business success.
Consciousness is the state of being aware of and responsive to one’s surroundings.
So, get to know your surroundings, situational awareness is an important factor. Situational awareness is when you are completely aware of what is happening around you at all times and you should be able to do that.
You know how situational awareness has been taught when you are a child, it’s in the form of good manners, in the form of being courteous. When you wish a teacher or helping an elderly by being aware that he/she needs help. That’s why it’s important to teach children good manners. It’s also to get aware of your surroundings.
We can divide consciousness into four subfactors Diligence, Perfectionism, Organisation, Prudence.
Diligence
Diligence is the application of persistent and focus to complete a task or action.
It’s an important factor for building success. But, if you think Diligence alone will get you success, then it’s like you are a basketball player who thinks you are ready to play in NBA because you can shoot free throws.
Being persistent and focused on a wrong path leads nothing but a failure.
So, the other three you have to get good at
Perfectionism
Being a perfectionist is not a great way to approach things, because it delays your effort. But there are some ways that you can make perfectionism as your success mantra. It’s very simple, you have to know how to double check your work. It doesn’t mean you are always a perfectionist, but it means when it’s important, like when you are a pilot of an aeroplane — double check before you go. When you get on a plane, you here the pilots double checking the co-pilot going, that’s why planes don’t crash.
So, after completing a task don’t simply fold and pile it up. Just go through once before closing it.
Organisation
Be organised. This sounds simple but it’s not. To be organised you need to first organise your daily habits.
You should have a morning and evening rituals. Simple it may be anything but productive. For example, get up early, don’t check your phone immediately, do exercise or some healthy activities, tweak your to-do list, and try to complete the task in the same order, put things back to their places.
“The more you practice completing a task, the less you’ll have to consciously think about each step. What once seemed like a challenge will soon feel more like second nature.”
Being organised teaches you what’s your priorities are, the daily practices change your attitude itself. You only care about relevant things and you find the easiest way to do things. You think smart and plan out things in advance.
Prudence
Prudence is the ability to make the right decision.
Being able to avoid judgmental behaviour is a good use of your judgement. Confusing? Perhaps saying “wisdom” enables you to make the right judgement about people and business decisions is more clear.
It’s simply being prudent is like having the wisdom to clarify what the future needs to look like, and aware of what actions will bring you success and what actions need to be avoided. To achieve this you have to be more clear about the knowledge of your domain.
In a business strategy, it can be done only through the habit of investigating every investment carefully, think ahead about what might happen if you were to take a particular course of action and take intelligent steps to guard against setbacks and reversals of fortune.
These are the four important factors that practice out you the way of success along with hard work. But remember “SUCCESS” is not a one-time entity.
