One of the inspiring motivational phrases that I came across was from a famous Motivational Speaker Jim Rohn. It’s called The Ant Philosophy, it says

“ants never quit. That’s a good philosophy. If ants are headed somewhere and you try to stop them; they’ll look for another way. They’ll climb over, they’ll climb under and they’ll climb around. They keep looking for another way. What a neat philosophy, to never quit looking for a way to get where you’re supposed to go.”

That’s the important philosophy many of us are lacking and most of us settle for something that what others think that suit for us.

Following are the some important principles for reaching your goal.

Self-Discipline

Self-discipline is the key to many doors. It not only helps to achieve your goal it leads to better, stronger and healthier version of yourself. It’s about taking small consistent daily actions to achieve your goal. Make a list of actions and do those things consistently in daily basis. These actions will go inward and develop more clarity around who you are and why you are here.

So, wake up early, talk to yourself in a positive manner (be a king), do exercise, talk to strangers, do something that you are afraid of doing or do actions that better yourself. Do it consistently then it will become a habit.

Tackle that Wrong Job

Everyone has their own dreams that went missed without chasing. That hurts right. You might have ended up in a wrong job. You might have responsibilities that made you to do that job you hate. You might have settled for a job because others want to think you were well settled in a career.

But it’s not too late. It’s never too late. I am not asking you to quit the job and go for your dreams. I know that would be difficult. But take that first step.

The expert in anything was once a beginner

Those little steps over a period, shape your dreams. Remember “Something is better than Nothing.

Be Persistent and Focused

The hardest part about achieving your dreams, is that desire to give up when the going gets tough. Your dreams might take time, even it takes several years but you have to be persistent i.e., continue firmly towards your dreams in spite of any difficulty or opposition.

Be focused on your goals, even if it is small or big. You might get many distractions while proceeding towards your goal you have to tackle it. Better Make a list what are the things that slows down you from your goal. Even small things like watching TV, addicted to social networking sites, video games might kill your time and have to eliminate those and be focused on your goals.

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop — Confucius

Focus really is the heart of persistence. If you stay focus on your goal, it’s easier to be persistent on your dreams.

Avoid comparison and thoughts of being judged

Stop comparing yourself with others. Others are not living your life nor are you living their lives. Comparison with others always leaves a lot to desire, so you should nip this tendency earliest. You are a unique person and personality.

The benchmark here is not others but your own self.

There is no comparison between SUN and MOON. They Shine when it’s their time

Don’t give a heck about what other people think about you. If you start doing things thinking of others judging you then you will be a prisoner for rest of your life. First of all, not everyone gonna judge you, everyone has their own problems and they are busy in tackling them. Even if they judge you, it’s nothing to do with you.

What you think of yourself is much more important than what people think of you. Be happy, be yourself. If others don’t like it, then let them be. Happiness is a choice. Life isn’t about pleasing everybody. Keep chasing your goals.

Find your own stuffs

Stop waiting for others to point you, take responsibility, progress toward your goal. Be confident, step out of your comfort zone and build the confidence. Gather your requirements, be unstoppable, build yourself in a way that Lion marching the forest. It’s all about you seeing yourself happy.

I know climbing is tough, but the view from the top is worth a lot. So be a ANT and reach for what you wanted and achieve your goals.
